Part 1 - Introduction
In this Introduction you will learn about:
- The project characteristics and what makes a project different to business-as-usual
- The six project variables, also know as the six performance targets
- What a Project Manager does
- The structure of PRINCE2® and the four integrated elements
- And lastly, the benefits of using PRINCE2®
Part
2 - The 7 Principles®
Each PRINCE2® project should include seven
principles. If even one of these principles is missing from the project, it
cannot be considered a PRINCE2® Project. This Module takes
you through all 7 PRINCE2® Principles.
Part
3 - The Business Case®
This is the first module of the Themes Section. This theme provides the mechanisms and knowledge to make sure that the project is desirable, viable and
achievable and that it remains valid throughout its lifecycle.
Part 4 - Themes-Organisation
This Module looks at the 'Organization' Theme, and it's purpose. It will provide some Organization definitions, what a project is and what a program is.
Part 5 - Themes-Quality
This Module looks at the 'Quality' Theme, which explains how to make sure that the project achieves the desired quality for the project's products.
Part 6 - Themes-Plans
This Module looks at the 'Plans' Theme, which provides the basis for effective project management, communication and
control by defining the means of product delivery.
Part 7 - Themes-Risks
This Module looks at the 'Risk' Theme and effective risk management in a project.
Part 8 - Themes-Change
This Module looks at the 'Change' Theme, and change control.
Part 9 - Themes-Progress
This Module looks at the final Theme, 'Progress' and establishing controls that monitor the progress of the project.
Part 10 - Processes-Introduction
This Module Introduces you to the 7 PRINCE2 Processes, which each identify a structured set of activities designed to
accomplish a specific objective.
Part 11 - Processes-Starting Up a Project
In this module you will learn about the 'Starting up a Project' Process, which makes sure that the prerequisites for
initiating a project are in place by answering the question: "Do we have a worthwhile and viable project?"
You will also learn about the objectives of the process, the activities involved, key inputs and outputs and roles and responsibilities.
Part 12 - Processes-Directing a Project
In this module you will learn about the 'Directing a Project' Process, which enables the Project Board to be accountable for the
project's successes by making key decisions and exercising overall control, while delegating day-to-day management of the project to the project manager.
You will also learn about the objectives of the process, the activities involved, key inputs and outputs and roles and responsibilities.
